"When I was about eleven years old, I remember a specific conversation I had with my father. I sat quiet while he talked about our family's Italian heritage and the origin of our last name, DeLeo. De - Leo: The - Lion. Simple enough, makes sense. What characteristics come to your mind when you think about the embodiment of a lion? I think of wisdom, respect, courage, beauty, strength, unity, and passion. Once I learned of this connection, I took a lot of pride in my last name and the characteristics it symbolized. To this day, I dedicate to live every aspect of my life with the heart of a lion."

Canada

Canada fishing has become somewhat expected during the month of June.  Since 2004, a group of related family and friends have made the hike up north in the search of fish.  While the roster may vary from year to year, regular members include myself, Tony DeLeo, Rick Nicolay, Rick Nicolay Jr., Rick Nicolay III, Gary Wisniewski, Steven Wisniewski, Patrick Gniadek, Matt Trippichio, Tom Trippichio, and Colin Cibulka.  Our group primarily targets walleye, but we also fish for northern pike, muskie, small mouth bass, and lake trout.  We have stayed at Centenury Lodge for 6 years of great fishing and hospitality.  This trip has become a great tradition of comradery and friendship that will continue for a long time.
